1.Feature improvement
(1) Support for USB Display Version 1.82(Win/Mac).
(2) Improved wording relating to "Export Batch Settings" and "Import Batch Settings".
(3) Added "Image Processing" menu. This can set the response speed for images projected at high-speed, such as games. If you set to "Fast" on "Image Processing", the menu of "Frame Interpolation" is set to "off" and it disappears from the OSD menu.
2.Bug fixes
(1) Fixed a problem where turning off the projector occasionally takes long time when using Content Playback mode.
(2) Fixed when using the RTL language, the text displayed when the Crestron setting is set to "on" is RTL display.
(3) Fixed where even if "Content Playback" is set to "On" in the projector's "Operation" menu, "Basic Control" is displayed in the "Network" menu.
(4) Corrected the display wording for Crestron Connected's initial password setting.
(5) Resovled a problem where "Crestron Connected Password" dialog appears even after setting a password.
(6) Fixed a bug where only 8 characters could be entered when entering "Remote" password from Web control. (Specification is 32 characters.)
(7) Fixed a rare issue when switching to a stable 2K or 4K signal, no signal or a black image is displayed. |

Function: When using "Basic Control" function in Web Control, login by "Remote Password" is enable/disable.
2. Add the item of "Batch file write/read" in OSD menu.
Location: Initial/All Settings > Export/Import Batch Settings
Function: Enables export/import of batch setting file during unit is working, which was previously supported only by special key operations* during non-startup.
*Export: AC connect while pressing ESC button

[Usability improvement]
1. Changed a part of character of Chinese (Simplified) font from Gothic to Shouki Gothic for better visibility.

1.Bug fixes
1) (Pattern Display) Ruled lines in the center of projected image (Pattern 1) are dim
* This occurs only on "Pattern1"
2) Playlist for "Contents Playback" is not displayed on OSD menu when following conditions are met.
- Auto Power On (Network -> Transmitter Settings) : On
- Content Playback (Operation) : On
- USB storage device has been inserted to projector
3) Projection image occationally flickers for a moment when "Split Screen" mode is set to on by remote controller.
4) ESA (Epson Setting Assistant) setting screen on projection image is not fully displayed in screen type 4:3.
5) In rare cases, projection image become abnormal by repeating turning on and off when "AV Standby : Always" has been set.
6) Projector ceases to function properly when it is turned on the power then it receives many commands continuously via RS-232C.
7) When selecting HDMI2 or HDBT channel on home screen while progress bar shown in thumbnail image loading, "Connection Guide" is displayed.
8) Pressing enter button on remote controller or control panel when menu cursor is on "Brightness Level" change the value without pressing "Set" button.
9) In rare cases "network setting function" does not work properly when turning on power.
10) Laser remains "off" (no light) although projector is turned on when following conditions are met.
- AV standby : On
- Projector goes to "sleep mode"
11) OSD menu become smaller after image adjustment with ESA completes when screen type is set to 4:3.
12) A message shown on projection image when "4K enhancement" is set to "on" under the condition that "Screen Sharing" is "on" has changed.
13) Art-Net channel number is not visible when selecting "Menu Color" to "Black".
14) In rare cases, FW update via EPM (Epson Projector Management) fails
2.Feature improvement
1) EB-815E has been supported
2) Magnification of digital zoom has been changed as below.
- Before : 1.0 ~ 0.74
- After : 1.0 ~ 0.50
* The performance of digital zoom is guaranteed by 0.74 or above. (Less than 0.74 : no guarantee)
* A message below is shown on the projection image when magnification of the digital zoom become
less than 0.74.
3) Updated the "Setting Plate Installation Guide" display for better understanding of adjustments
4) Default value of "Home Screen Auto Disp." (under "Operation") has been changed to "off"
5) "Dynamic Contrast" is set to "off" while "Geometry Correction Wizard" is displayed.
6) A confirmation dialog for "Power-off" is displayed on home screen when pressing power button in home screen.
7) Visibility of Chinese font added in V1.04 (GB18030-2022) has been improved.
8) Comply with PSTI Act 2022
[Note]
Following symptom may occur with firmware V1.05 with relation to the PSTI Act 2022.
a.Symptom
ESA (Epson Setting Assistant) cannot connect to EB-810E/815E with FW version V1.05.
(ESA shows "connection error" when it scans QR code shown on projected image)
b.Occurrence condition
Use ESA on smart device running in AndroidOS version 10
* The symptom does not occur running in AndroidOS version 11 or above.
c.Cause
Software bug in AndroidOS version 10
d.Latest situation
Since the symptom occurs due to software bug in AndroidOS, it is difficult to take measures with projector firmware or ESA.
The software bug has been fixed with AndroidOS version 11 or above.
e.Workaround to the symptom
1) Upgrade AndroidOS version to 11 or above.
2) Turn off -> on WiFi connection once, then try to connect again.
f.Solution
EPSON will release new ESA version in the next few months to provide the following function.
* ESA shows a message "If you cannot connect, turn off the WiFi on your device, turn it back on, then try
again" when the symptom occurs. (The message has not been fixed yet, it may be changed)
* ESA also shows a button linked to WiFi setting menu of the device so that user can easily do WiFi off/on. |
