Tamper Prevention
- Projection Confirmation Dialog
When a device connects, a confirmation message for connection permission will appear on the projection screen.
Select "Yes" to project.
Select "No" to close the dialog. If "Add to Block List" was checked, the device will be added to the block list.
- Removed the "Interrupt Connection" menu. I will be replaced with the following two options: "Access Control" and "Secondary Connections". Go into Menu >Network Settings > Network Projection.
- Added "Access Control" menu setting
Under "Access Control", you can change whether the above "Projection Confirmation Dialog" is displayed.
- Added "Secondary Connections" menu setting
Under "Secondary Connections", you can change the setting for when a second device connects.If "No Interruptions" is selected, you can use Screen Mirroring2.
- Added Block List Deletion Function
If there are devices on the block list, you can delete them from the standby screen and Home screen. On the standby screen, pressing Enter will display a confirmation message for deleting the block list. (If there are no entries on the block list, the removal prompt will not be displayed.)
The block list removal icon will be displayed on the Home screen.
- Added Forced Disconnection Feature
A feature has been added to forcefully disconnect while using Screen Mirroring. Press and hold the Esc button to switch back to the projection screen. Function that automatically switches to PC control (mouse operation) when a USB cable is connected. |

1. Security update
(RED 1) Changed the minimum number of characters for "Remote Password" and "Web Control Password".
Before : Minimum number of characters is 0, maximum number of characters is 32
After : Minimum number of characters is 8, maximum number of characters is 32
(RED 2) If the "Remote Password", "Web Control Password", or "Passphrase" for Simple AP is set to 7 characters or less, the following message will be displayed.
Before : Not displayed
After : The following message will be displayed.
"Enter a password using at least 8 characters."
(RED 3) Countermeasures against a Brute-force attack.
If the password(*) is incorrect when connecting to the projector using a web browser or ESC/VP.net, access from the same IP address will be restricted for 2 seconds.
(*) Passwords: "Remote Password", "Web Control Password", "Monitor Password"
(RED 4) Limitation of a firmware downgrading.
To improve security, downgrading from V162 or later to V161 or earlier is no longer functionally possible. When you try to do that, the projector's LEDs will flash rapidly and the downgrading will always fail.
* Note that a downgrading is not supported.
2. Feature improvement
(5) Delete Crestron Connected password setting menu.
This setting is no longer necessary, so it will be deleted.
(6) Disable the H.265 codec when using Screen Mirroring.
This is a fix for the issue where the projector will not be able to display and connect if a PC sends video encoded in the H.265 format that the projector does not support. |

1. Changed a part of character of Chinese (Simplified) font from Gothic to Shouki Gothic for better visibility.
2. Changed the timing of setting "Web Control Password" and "Remote Password"
I. Web Control Password: Password to control/monitor the projector on the Web Control
Less than V1.16: Enter the Network Menu without setting a password.
V1.16 or above: Complete the Network Settings without setting a password.
II. Remote Password: Password only available in "Basic Control" on Web Control
Less than V1.16: Enter the Network Menu without setting a password
V1.16 or above: "Basic control" will be set from off to on without setting a password. |
