[Security update]
# (RED 1) to (RED 4) are responses to the European Radio Equipment Directive (RED).
(RED 1) The minimum number of characters for "Remote Password" and "Web Control Password" has been changed.
Before: Minimum number of characters is 0, maximum number of characters is 32.
After: Minimum number of characters is 8, maximum number of characters is 32.
(RED 2) If the "Remote Password", "Web Control Password", or "Passphrase" for Simple AP is set to 7 characters or fewer, the following message will be displayed.
Before: Not displayed
After: The following message will be displayed.
"Enter a password using at least 8 characters."
(RED 3) Measures against a Brute-force attacks.
If the password(*) is incorrect when connecting to the projector using a web browser or ESC/VP.net, access from the same IP address will be restricted for 2 seconds.
(*) Passwords: "Remote Password", "Web Control Password", "Monitor Password"
(RED 4) Limitation on firmware downgrading.
To enhance security, downgrading from V108 or later is no longer possible. If you attempt to do so, the projector's LEDs will flash rapidly, and the downgrade will always fail.
* Note that a downgrading is not supported.
[Feature improvement]
1) Specification change the following password settings.
- Monitor passord
Added a setting item for "Monitor Password" to the menu.
[Network settings] -> [Basic] -> [Monitor Password]
- If the following conditions, display the dialog to set the Monitor Password.
