1. Security update
Support for European Radio Equipment Directive (RED) *Once you update to V3.61, you will not be able to downgrade.
(1) Changed the minimum number of characters for "Remote Password" and "Web Control Password".
Before : Minimum number of characters is 0, maximum number of characters is 32
After : Minimum number of characters is 8, maximum number of characters is 32
(2) If the "Remote Password", "Web Control Password", or "Passphrase" for Simple AP is set to 7 characters or less, the following message will be displayed.
Before : Not displayed
After : The following message will be displayed.
"Enter a password using at least 8 characters."
(3)Limitation of a firmware downgrading.
To improve security, downgrading from V3.61 or later to V3.60 or earlier is no longer functionally possible. When you try to do that, the projector's LEDs will flash rapidly and the downgrading will always fail.
* Note that a downgrading is not supported.
(4) Countermeasure against brute force attacks.
If the password(*) is incorrect when connecting to the projector using a web browser or ESC/VP.net, access from the same IP address will be restricted for 2 seconds.

2.Feature improvement
(1)Disable the H.265 codec when using Screen Mirroring.
This is a fix for the issue where the projector will not be able to display and connect if a PC sends video encoded in the H.265 format that the projector does not support.
(2)Delete Crestron Connected password setting menu.
This setting is no longer necessary, so it will be deleted.
2.Bug fixes
(1) Even though the USB cable is connected, the message "Connect a USB cable" is displayed and the mode cannot be switched to PC interactive mode.
- Connect the PC and projector with a USB cable. Check that the PC operation mode can be used.
- Leave the cable connected and turn the projector power OFF-ON.
- Press the button to switch to PC operation mode. |

1.Feature improvement
This model is compatible with Epson Setting Assistant Ver. 2.00 and above. Epson Setting Assistant Ver. 1.13 and below are not supported for this model.

[IMPORTANT correction of Firmware V3.30]
Crestron Connected Version 1 was no more available with the firmware 3.30: Crestron Connected V2 and Crestron XiO Cloud replaced Crestron Connected V1.
Then CCV1 has been added and need special setting. Please refer to [Usability improvement].
[Usability improvement]
1. Both Crestron Connected Versions 1 (CCV1) and 2 (CCV2) are available. XiO Cloud is CCV2 compatible, not CCV1.
2. The choice of generation of Crestron Connected is added in the Crestron Connected Menu of the EPSON Projector WEB Control.
I. First corresponds to CCV1 --> Only Crestron Connected Version 1 operates
II. Second corresponds to CCV2 --> Crestron Connected Version 2 and XiO Cloud operate.
